Copywriting
Although I endeavored to become a writer early in my career, when I shifted into tech, I assumed I was leaving that behind. Turns out, strong writing skills made me even more valuable. From the very beginning, I was called on to write banner copy, homepage blurbs, page content, documentation – you name it. I developed a reputation as an editor with a sharp eye. Later, my journalism background made me a natural at SEO, and the strength of my voice gave me an edge in social media. The last time I had an actual editorial title was right out of college, but writing has been a big part of every job I’ve had.
