Production Management
Much like its sister channel, MTV, VH1 has shifted from music to reality television programming over time. I worked at VH1 during its “box logo era,” when it was focused largely on “Celebreality” and “talking head” shows. In addition to overseeing overall production at VH1.com, I was a hands-on project manager for “tentpole” initiatives, or major viewing events.
Responsibilities
- Maintained site production schedules; prioritized, assigned and tracked daily resource allocations for the VH1.com design and development teams
- Created weekly dashboards to distribute project status to the VH1.com team
- Oversaw planning, design and production of interactive and mobile initiatives for channel tentpoles
- Acted as liaison between the Project Management Office and the VH1.com team
